Why You Need to Exfoliate

Keeping your skin hydrated, cleansed and protected from the sun are all are all essential parts of your skin care regimen. But how often do you exfoliate? Exfoliation is the key to maintaining healthy, glowing skin.

As we age, our skin's ability to generate and shed skin cells slows down, leaving your pores clogged with excessive oil and dead skin cells making your skin appear, dull, dry or rough.

Exfoliating removes the dead skin cells and stimulates the outer dermal layers to regenerate more quickly. Large pores are diminished, reducing the occurrence of acne and blackhead breakouts, and in addition, exfoliation assists in reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

Regular exfoliation helps the anti-aging and hydrating ingredients in skincare products penetrate more deeply, making them more effective. Your make up goes on more smoothly and stays fresh for longer.

Exfoliating tips: Exfoliate two to three times a week (less if you have sensitive skin) Be gentle on your skin, you don't need to scrub hard to get a good result. Moisturise your skin afterwards to stop it drying out. Use a good quality product designed for your skin type.

So for brighter, smoother and more vibrant skin, be sure to include regular exfoliation as part of your skin care routine.
